Tampa Fishing Charters

Tampa Bay Sportfishing Adventures offers guided backwater Tampa fishing charters for tarpon, redfish, snook, grouper, cobia, shark, trout, mackerel and many other sport fish species.  We also offer fishing charters to Boca Grande for its world famous tarpon fishing.

Tampa, on Florida’s Gulf Coast, is one of the most productive fishing grounds in the Gulf. Tampa Bay is fed by many freshwater springs, rivers, and creeks, and the mangrove lined shorelines are home to a great number of bait and sport fish. The many grass flats, shallows and inlets attract huge numbers of inshore fish species and Tampa’s consistently warm and beautiful weather provides outstanding year-round fishing opportunities. On the crystal clear water of Tampa, sight fishing opportunities abound.

Captain Bob Goodwin is a native of Florida and has been fishing the waters of Tampa his entire life. Captain Bob brings his wealth of experience fishing the flats and backwaters of Tampa Bay to land you on the fish. When it comes to choosing a Tampa fishing charter nothing compares to a local Tampa fishing guide who can take you to all the hot spots. Speckled trout, redfish, snook, cobia, grouper, or tarpon, Captain Bob will know what is biting and where to find them.  Tampa Bay Sportfishing Adventures accommodates all levels of experience-from seasoned anglers to novices on their first Tampa Bay backwater fishing excursion.

Tampa Bay Sportfishing Adventures also offers Boca Grande tarpon fishing charters.

Boca Grande has earned its reputation for the best tarpon fishing in the world.  Starting in late April/ early May the tarpon begin their annual migration to Boca Grande Pass and the action for these giant fish is unbeatable. These 100 lb plus giants leap and fight and provide some truly incredible action.

As the water in Tampa Bay cools off the fishing is heating up. Inshore fishing has been action packed. Area redfish have been on fire over the flats in the mouth of the bay. Snook fishing is picking up from the beaches to your backwater areas. And for you offshore enthusiasts, kingfish have been showing up as close as 10 miles offshore.
