World Famous Boca Grande Tarpon Fishing

There is a reason it has been dubbed “World Famous”. Tarpon fishing in Boca Grande is by far the most incredible tarpon fishing experience you can ever have. Every year, thousands of tarpon make a migration to these pristine waters. They are preparing for spawning and when they get here, they are hungry.

The day starts with your Capt. Bobby picking you up at the dock just before sunrise (on morning trips) and running you out to the fishing grounds. It’s a short run to where these majestic fish are and often times your hooked up on your first tarpon just as the sun is peaking over the horizon. Once your hooked up, the battle begins. Tarpon in Boca Grande average around 100lbs and can reach weights over 200lbs. Shortly after hookup they often leap into the air and then scream line of your real as they try to get away.

Once the fish is boatside, Capt. Bobby will handle the fish and pull him along side of the boat so that you can have your picture taken with your trophy catch. Then Capt. Bobby will spend a few minutes to revicve the tarpon to make sure it swims off to survive to fight another day.
